LG microwave Uses Three Way Heating Action For Healthy Cooking
Using three basic technologies to cook food in a safe environment, the LG microwave cuts cooking time by 50 percent while using 70 percent less energy, right on the countertop. The beauty is it can also be used as a portable cooker at the campsite or can be taken to the relative’s house for those large holiday meals. Although some of the cooking technologies have been used in other appliances, the LG microwave is one of the first to combine the different styles into one unit.
Conduction, which is a heating element coming into direct contact with the food and convection which is having a small fan circulate the heated air around the food are two of the most common cooking methods in most portable cookers. The LG microwave also uses infrared, a type of radiant heat to cook the food from the inside out. The current crop of this product is capable of baking a 10-pound turkey and with an optional expansion ring can hold up to a 16-pound bird.
When the LG microwave is first turned on, the invisible infrared beams, similar to the rays of the sun, begins heating the food with the rays penetrating the item with deep heating action to start cooking the food from the inside. The convection of the heat to the outer part of the food helps the cooking process from the outside and can, if desired, provide browning and cooking of the outer part of the food being cooked.
Oven Focuses On Convenience And Safety
One of the benefits of using a LG microwave is that food does not have to be thawed out before being cooked. Even frozen turkeys with those pesky giblets stuffed inside can be taken from the freezer to the LG microwave and the cooking can begin. Simply flip the turkey in the oven about half way through and pull out th bag of giblets.
Unlike microwave cooking, just about any type of pan or utensil that you can use in a conventional oven can be used in the LG microwave. Additionally, it is designed to come apart for convenient clean up. However, all parts of the LG microwave lock firmly together during use to prevent potential leaks of steam or hot air to prevent burns.
Another convenient advantage of the LG microwave is that different foods can be placed inside to cook at the same time. With different items in their own containers, if it fits in the oven, it can be cooked together.
